Raw materials of the radix lithospermi ointment mainly comprise sesame seed oil, a radix lithospermi extract, dextrin palmitate and glyceryl behenate/eicosanoate. The invention also provides a corresponding preparation method. The radix lithospermi ointment prepared by adopting the formula and the preparation method has the effects of supplementing water, moisturizing, balancing oil grease and a pH value, promoting micro-circulation of blood of face skin, removing speckles, repairing skin and resisting allergy. Compared with the prior art, the radix lithospermi ointment disclosed by the invention has the advantages of comprehensive functions and obvious effect; after the radix lithospermi ointment provided by the invention is used, a moisture content MMV value of the skin, a trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL) value, a pH value of the skin and a blood perfusion value of a trial subject are all obviouslyimproved.
