The invention provides application of gout granules in treating diabetes mellitus and particularly provides an usage of the gout granules in preparing a drug or a health-care product for preventing ortreating type 2 diabetes mellitus, wherein the drug for preventing or treating the type 2 diabetes mellitus is a drug for improving the insulin sensitivity of a patient.
