The invention relates to a herbal preparation in the form of film-
coated tablets for the supportive treatment of allergic rhinitis and
sinusitis, and a process for preparing such a preparation. The preparation according to the invention contains
herbal extracts obtained from a mixture of
medicinal herbs including
Bupleurum root (Radix
Bupleurum),
Platycodon grandiflorus root (Radix Platycodi grandiflori),
Xanthium strumarium fruit (
Fructus Xanthii strumarii),
Magnolia officinalis flower (
Flos Magnoliae), and
Oroxylum indicum bark (Cortex Oroxyli indici), in which each
herb is used in appropriate amounts to create synergistic anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic,
decongestant,
expectorant, and immune-enhancing effects on the
respiratory mucosa. The preparation also includes a film-
coating system containing a film-forming
polymer,
plasticizer, and coloring agent, along with tablet-forming excipients such as preservatives, fillers, stabilizers, and anti-
caking agents in appropriate proportions to create a highly stable film-coated tablet. The preparation according to the invention has the advantages of preserving the active ingredients of the
medicinal herbs, increasing stability, improving
bioavailability, being convenient to use, and contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of supporting the treatment of symptoms of allergic rhinitis and
sinusitis. It is also safe for long-term use because the preparation contains
herbal extracts of natural origin that have been used for a long time in
traditional medicine, and does not contain synthetic vasoconstrictors, corticosteroids, or
antibiotics. In addition, the extraction and purification process helps remove impurities and reduce irritating components, thereby limiting the risk of unwanted side effects with prolonged use.
