Thepreparation method comprises the following steps: acidifying rare earth oxide europium oxide to prepare an europium chloride solution; heating the europium chloride solution for crystallization to prepare an europium chloride crystal; slowly dropping N,N-dimethylformamide containing europium chloride into an N,N-dimethylformamide solution of vinyl benzoic acid at a certain temperature; adjusting the pH value; carrying out reflux reaction, suction filtration washing and drying to obtain an organic rare earth complex; and introducing the organic rare earth complex into polyurethane under a certain condition to obtain the polyurethane photoluminescent material.
