The system comprises the components of a water quality monitoring device which monitors water quality index monitoring data and algae growth characteristic data of a monitoring point; a water quality predicating device which receives the water quality index monitoring data and the algae growth characteristicdata, performs analysis on the water quality index monitoring data and the algae growth characteristic data, obtains a reservoir water quality predicating model and performs predication on the water quality of a to-be-predicated reservoir according to the water quality index monitoring data, the algae growth characteristic data and the reservoir water quality predicating model, thereby obtaining predicating data; an early-warning grading device which receives the predicating data, determines a target early-warning grade according to the predicating data, and displays the target early-warning grade. The reservoir water quality predicating system can predicate the water quality of the to-be-predicated reservoir and can perform early warning before an algal booming event, thereby reminding related personnel of taking a countermeasure in advance, facilitating reservoir water quality management, and settling a technical problem of hysteresis in reservoir detection.
