The base metal comprises the following chemical components: 97.05-98.66wt%of Cu, 1.0-2.2wt% of Ni, 0.12-0.3wt% of Zr, 0.2-0.4wt% of Be, and 0.02-0.05wt% of Mg. The base metal is high in electricity and heat conducting performances. The processing method of the base metal of the narrow-surface copper plate of the ESP continuous casting crystallizer comprises the steps of mixing corresponding alloy materials, and then sequentially carrying out vacuum smelting, vacuum ingot casting, thermal forging, solution treatment, cooling and hardening, and aging treatment.
