Abstract

The invention discloses a method for improving bio-availability of a hydrophobic citrus active substance. The method includes the following steps: I. preparing an emulsion containing the hydrophobic citrus active substance; and (2) spray drying the emulsion into microcapsules. According to the method, hydrophobic citrus active substance powder is dissolved into an oil phase (medium chain triglyceride (MCT)), and the oil phase is added into an emulsifier solution which is dissolved in advance, and thus the emulsion containing hydrophobic citrus active substance is formed through high-speed shearing and high-pressure micro-jet, the emulsion can be used for protecting the activity of the hydrophobic citrus active substance, the degradation of the active substance is prevented, and the solubility of the hydrophobic citrus active substance is prevented, so that the hydrophobic citrus active substance can be better absorbed by organisms, and the effect of improving the bio-availability of the oral hydrophobic citrus active substance is achieved.
