Embodiment
[0032] A number of exemplary ethylene adsorbents S1-S4 according to embodiments of the present invention were fabricated and tested together with reference prior art adsorbents Ref1-Ref3. The tested sorbents are listed in Table I.

[0034] Table I
[0035] The amorphous precipitated silica material of S1-S4 is CMS type Material. Sorbents S1 , S3 and S4 were prepared according to the method described in WO 2006 / 071183, wherein calcium and magnesium sources were added to a dilute aqueous solution of activated sodium silicate. Prepared with MgCl at a ratio of 68 mol% Mg and 32 mol% Ca 2 and CaCl 2 of salt solution. Pour the salt solution over 1.5M (relative to SiO 2 ) on a sodium silicate solution, and the resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature. Coagulation ensues and the resulting slurry is washed and dewatered by vacuum suction on filter cloth to become a cake or gel. A dilute solution containing one of TIPA and PEI was added to the obtained gel....
