The general formula of the permanent magnetic ferrite material is A1-x-yCaxRyFe2n-zMzO19, wherein A is Sr or Sr and Ba, R comprises La, and M comprises Co; and x ranges from 0.15 to 0.4, y ranges from 0.3 to 0.5, z ranges from 0.25 to 0.45, and n ranges from 5.3 to 5.7. The preparation method comprises the steps of burdening, presintering, ball milling, forming and sintering. On the basis of hexagonal Sr ferrite, La<3+> ions and Ca<2+> ions are adopted to jointly replace the position of Sr<2+>, damage to the crystal structure of the magnet is avoided, the substitution amount of Co<2+> ions is effectively increased, and the prepared permanent magnetic ferrite material can obtain high residual magnetism and intrinsic coercive force at the same time.
