The preparation process of the washable and antibacterial cotton fabric comprises the following steps of (1) soaking the clean cotton fabric in a prepared carboxymethyl chitosan solution, controlling weight increment, and then performing dry heat esterification; and (2) soaking the cotton fabric loaded with the carboxymethyl chitosan in a prepared (3-carboxypropyl) trimethyl ammonium chloride solution, and performing a heating reaction after rolling and weight increasing.
