Embodiment 1

[0015] The clean cotton fabric was soaked in 0.5 wt% carboxymethyl chitosan aqueous solution for 10 min, rolled to 100% weight gain, heated at 180°C for 5 min, washed with deionized water and dried.

[0016] The prepared modified cotton fabric is constructed from cotton fabric and carboxymethyl chitosan. The molecular weight of carboxymethyl chitosan is 5kDa, the degree of deacetylation is 95%, and the degree of substitution is 80%. For infrared analysis, at 1720 cm -1 and 1572cm -1 There are obvious C=O stretching vibration absorption peaks and N-H bending vibration absorption peaks respectively, indicating that carboxymethyl chitosan has been successfully grafted on the surface of cotton fibers. The obtained antibacterial cotton fabric has no obvious killing effect on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The moisture vapor transmission rate of cotton fabric grafted with carboxymethyl chitosan was 775 g / m 2 / d, the water absorption rate is 145%, and the tensile stre...

Embodiment 2

[0018] The clean cotton fabric was soaked in 5 wt% (3-carboxypropyl)trimethylammonium chloride aqueous solution for 4 min, rolled to 100% weight gain, heated at 180 °C for 5 min, washed with deionized water and dried.

[0019] The prepared antibacterial cotton fabric is constructed from cotton fabric and (3-carboxypropyl)trimethylammonium chloride. Through infrared analysis of the modified cotton fabric, the -1 CH appears at 3 -N + The bending vibration absorption peak of the obtained antibacterial cotton fabric has a bacteriostatic rate of more than 90% against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, and after 10 strict washing cycles, the bacteriostatic rate is reduced to 40%. The moisture vapor transmission rate of the modified cotton fabric loaded with (3-carboxypropyl)trimethylammonium chloride was 792 g / m 2 / d, the water absorption rate is 161%, and the tensile strength is 29.3 MPa.

Embodiment 3

[0021] The clean cotton fabric was soaked in 0.5 wt% carboxymethyl chitosan aqueous solution for 10 min, rolled to 100% weight gain, heated at 180°C for 5 min, washed with deionized water and dried;

[0022] The cotton fabric grafted with carboxymethyl chitosan was soaked in 5 wt% (3-carboxypropyl)trimethylammonium chloride aqueous solution for 4 min, and then heated at 180 °C for 5 min after rolling to gain 100% weight. Wash with deionized water and dry.

[0023] The prepared antibacterial cotton fabric is constructed from cotton fabric, carboxymethyl chitosan and (3-carboxypropyl)trimethylammonium chloride. The molecular weight of carboxymethyl chitosan is 5 kDa and the degree of deacetylation is 95 %, the degree of substitution is 80%, through the infrared analysis of the modified cotton fabric, at 1720 cm -1 、1572 cm -1 and 1425 cm -1 C=O stretching vibration absorption peak, N-H bending vibration absorption peak and CH 3 -N + The bending vibration absorption peak of ...

Abstract

The invention discloses an antibacterial cotton fabric with excellent washability and a preparation process of the antibacterial cotton fabric. Materials involved in the cotton fabric include carboxymethyl chitosan, (3-carboxypropyl) trimethylammonium chloride and an original cotton fabric. The preparation process of the washable and antibacterial cotton fabric comprises the following steps of (1) soaking the clean cotton fabric in a prepared carboxymethyl chitosan solution, controlling weight increment, and then performing dry heat esterification; and (2) soaking the cotton fabric loaded with the carboxymethyl chitosan in a prepared (3-carboxypropyl) trimethyl ammonium chloride solution, and performing a heating reaction after rolling and weight increasing. The cotton fabric is subjected to antibacterial modification through simple soaking, rolling and heating processes; the obtained cotton fabric is excellent in antibacterial performance and good in washability, and the inherent performance of the cotton fabric is not damaged; and meanwhile the antibacterial cotton fabric is simple in finishing process, low in production cost, environmentally friendly and suitable for industrial production.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of new biological materials, and in particular relates to an antibacterial cotton fabric with excellent washability and a preparation process thereof. [0002] technical background [0003] The breathability, softness and comfort of cotton fabrics make them ideal for intimate apparel and bedding. In addition, they have good water absorption capacity because they contain many hydrophilic groups. But hydrophilicity and breathability also easily provide a suitable environment for the survival and reproduction of bacteria. Bacterial secretions not only have a strong and distinctive smell, but can also affect the appearance and strength of cotton fabrics. This can lead to health hazards and economic losses. Therefore, the antibacterial finishing of cotton fabrics has been paid more and more attention. Typical antimicrobial agents used in the textile industry include metal ions, metal oxides, haloamines, and quaternary a...
