The invention provides a method for wrapping peppermint oil microcapsules, which comprises the following steps: preparing an emulsifier solution containing 5-10% of an emulsifier which is a compound of Arabic gum and carbopol in a ratio of 1: 1-5: 1; mixing the emulsifier with the aqueous solution to obtain a water phase; mixing peppermint oil, N-(2-hydroxypropyl) methacrylamide and caprylic/capric triglyceride, and uniformly stirring to obtain an oil phase; adding ammonium persulfate into 30 times of water to prepare an initiator; mixing the water phase and the oil phase to form an emulsion; and introducing nitrogen into the prepared emulsion, adding the prepared initiator after 30-45 minutes, stirring, and reacting at room temperature for 2-4 hours, thereby obtaining the product. According to the peppermint oil microcapsule disclosed by the invention, a material, namely carbopol, with biological adhesion is added and compounded with N-(2-hydroxypropyl) methacrylamide, so that the residual time of the peppermint oil microcapsule in an oral cavity is prolonged, and a slow release effect can be achieved.
