Problems solved by technology

[0010] So the problem is that while there is a UV curable polymer layer, it is transparent and thus can only be imaged by a UV laser of sufficient quality
On the other hand, polymer layers that can be structured by faster infrared lasers cannot be UV-cured due to insufficient transparency (at least not over the entire layer thickness), and thus require thermal curing, which in turn is very time- and energy-intensive

[0066] A solution of 56 grams of Ebecryl 837, 14 grams of Sartomer SR 494, 1.75 grams of DYNASALAN VTMO, and 64 mg of maleic acid in 0.64 grams of water was stirred in a 250 ml stirred vessel. Thereafter, while stirring was continued, 5-40 m% of Almal nanopowder was added during 120 minutes and stirring was continued for 3 hours. After adding 2.6 g of DYNASALAN VTMO and 5.2 g of Iriotec 8210, the mixture had to be stirred for a further 3 hours.

[0068] A solution of 23 grams of Ebecryl 1290, 46.4 grams of Sartomer SR 494, 12.5 grams of DYNASALAN VTMO, and 460 mg of maleic acid in 4.6 grams of water was stirred in a 250 ml stirred vessel. Thereafter, while stirring was continued, 5-40 m% of Almal nanopowder was added during 120 minutes and stirring was continued for 4 hours. After adding 2.8 g of DYNASALAN VTMO and 5.6 g of Iriotec 8210, the mixture had to be stirred for a further 3 hours.

example 3

[0070] A solution of 56 grams of Ebecryl 837, 14 grams of Sartomer SR 494, 1.35 grams of DYNASALAN VTMO, and 48 mg of maleic acid in 0.48 grams of water was stirred in a 250 ml stirred vessel. Thereafter, while stirring continuously, 5–20 m% of ZrO was added over the course of 120 min 2 Nano powder. Stirring was continued for 3 hours, then 3.0 grams of Sartomer SR 297 was added to the mixture. After adding 2.6 g of DYNASALAN VTMO and 5.2 g of Iriotec 8210, the mixture had to be stirred for a further 3 hours.

Abstract

The invention relates to a coating material for coating metal or non-metal printing plates, comprising a liquid starting material capable of forming a polymer matrix by ultraviolet polymerization and a filler covalently incorporated into the polymer matrix of the starting material. The size of the filler is submicron-sized, wherein a higher absorption of infrared radiation in the starting material than in the absence of the filler can be achieved by means of the filler. The invention further relates to a printing plate having a cylindrical base body, the circumferential surface of which is at least partially coated with a polymer layer that is polymerized by ultraviolet light, the polymer layer having a sub-micron-sized filler, the polymer layer having at least one of the sub-micron-sized filler and the polymer layer having at least one of the sub-micron-sized filler and the polymer layer having at least one of the sub-micron-sized filler. And wherein a higher absorption of infrared radiation is induced in the polymer layer by the filler than in the absence of filler in the polymer layer.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a printing plate and a polymer coating material for the printing plate. In particular, the present invention relates to a polymer nanocomposite as a single coating with tribological properties meeting modern printing requirements for printing plates, especially for gravure printing plates or cylinders, structured printing plates or cylinders , embossing plates or cylinders, and relief printing plates or cylinders, or applicator rolls and inking rolls (eg for flexographic printing). Background technique [0002] The term printing form is used in the following in particular as a general term for gravure printing forms, relief printing forms, or structured printing forms for embossing, also for applicator rollers or ink form rollers. Gravure or relief printing plates are used in particular for printing various items such as magazines and packaging, while structured printing plates are used for embossing relief-like structures on ...
