Abstract

The technological process of utilizing marine yeast in producing single cell protein features that marine yeast G7a is inoculated to and cultured in the production culture medium prepared with Jerusalem artichoke extracting solution and soybean residue hydrolysate. The marine yeast of the present invention is marine yeast G7a in the preservation number of CGMCC No. 2006 and with very high protein content and wide growing carbon source range. The marine yeast G7a can secrete great amount of extracellular inulase and may be cultured in large scale to prepare single cell protein. The single cell protein with high protein content, essential amino acid content and especially content of lysine and leucine capable of promoting marine fish growth in 12.6 % and 9.1 % separately may be produced in low cost.

Description

Technical field [0001] The invention relates to a process for producing single-cell protein using yeast, in particular to a process for using marine yeast to produce single-cell protein from Jerusalem artichoke extract. Background technique [0002] In the past 20 years, China's marine aquaculture industry has developed rapidly, so the demand for bait for marine aquaculture animals has also grown steadily. The current marine aquaculture industry in my country widely uses some fish meat and microalgae such as spirulina, Chlorella and brown algae as bait. The microalgae that reproduce in natural waters are natural bait for aquatic animals. They have high protein content, good amino acid composition, and contain Chlorophyll and carotenoids and other pigments, but due to environmental pollution and lack of biological resources, in recent years, the harvest of this kind of bait has been difficult, the production cost has increased, and the digestibility is low and the palatability is ...
