Problems solved by technology

However, most of the current carbon black grafting technologies are harsh, expensive, and lack the possibility of large-scale production. We use the radiation emulsion method to process carbon black, and use polybutyl methacrylate with active groups and carbon black Hydroxyl reaction on the surface can obtain polymer grafted or embedded carbon black. The dispersion stability of such grafted carbon black particles in the polymer medium depends not only on electrostatic repulsion but also on entropy repulsion. The effect is very significant. Embodiment

[0021] The process and steps of this embodiment are as follows:

[0022] (1), first place carbon black (CB) in a vacuum oven and dry to constant weight at 50°C, store in a desiccator for use;

[0023] (2), get 5g carbon black (CB) and be dispersed in the distilled water of 45ml, and be stirred, be made into slurry;

[0024] (3), take 17.5g of polymer monomer butyl methacrylate, 5.0g of styrene, and 2.5g of acrylonitrile to form a monomer mixture; the monomers need to be processed by vacuum distillation before use;

[0025] (4), prepare polymer monomer mixed emulsion; take the mixture of sodium dodecylsulfonate (SDS) and alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (OP-10) as emulsifier; wherein the proportion of the two is SDS :OP-10=2:1:

[0026] Take 25g of the total amount of the above-mentioned polymer monomer mixture, 5g of emulsifier mixture, add 70g of distilled water, and make 100g of polymer monomer mixed emulsion;

[0027] (5), the above-mentioned prepared polymer monomer mi...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for initiating polymer grafting treatment on carbon black surface by utilizing gamma ray radiation, belonging to the technical field of high molecule polymer graftingchemical treatment. The method mainly comprises the following process: first, preparing carbon black dispersed liquid sizing agent which contains a certain quantity of carbon black powder particles and is evenly dispersed inside distilled water, and then adding polymer monomer butyl methacrylate, styrene and acrylonitrile mixed monomer emulsion into the sizing agent. The mixed monomer emulsion isprepared by mixed monomer which is prepared by the polymer monomer butyl methacrylate, the styrene and the acrylonitrile mixed monomer emulsion according to the mixture ration of 7:2:1, emulsifier sodium dodecyl sulfate or / and alkylphenol polyethenoxy ether and a certain amount of distilled water, and the weight ratio among the mixed polymer monomer, the emulsifier and the distilled water is 5:1:14, placing the mixed liquid containing the carbon black sizing agent and the monomer emulsion under gamma ray radiation for irradiation treatment, the irradiation dose of the gamma ray is 3-10KGy, and finally, the radiation initiation polymer grafting treatment is carried out on the carbon black surface by gamma ray. After being treated, the carbon black particles have good dispersion stability and uniformity.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for using gamma ray radiation to trigger polymer grafting to treat the surface of carbon black, and belongs to the technical field of polymer grafting chemical treatment. Background technique [0002] The surface of carbon black contains a large number of polar groups, which are difficult to disperse and easy to flocculate. The properties of a material are to some extent affected by its degree of dispersion. In order to improve the dispersion performance and enhance its performance, the graft modification or activation treatment on the surface of carbon black ultrafine particles has always been the concern of scholars at home and abroad. However, most of the current carbon black grafting technologies are harsh, expensive, and lack the possibility of large-scale production. We use the radiation emulsion method to process carbon black, and use active groups of polybutyl methacrylate and carbon black Hydroxyl reaction o...
