Abstract

The invention discloses a method for extracting eucalyptus citriodra volatile oil and 3,8-diol, which is characterized by comprising the following steps: 1) cutting fresh leaves of eucalyptus citriodora into fragments; 2) pilling the leaves of the eucalyptus citriodora for fermentation; 3) extracting a volatile oil of an eucalyptus citriodra oil phase by distillation by a sodium chloride-containing steam distillation method from the cut and fermented leaf fragments of the eucalyptus citriodora, which serve as the raw material; 4) extracting raffinate, which is obtained after the steam distillation, by using a solvent; 5) drying the solvent, which is obtained after extraction, with anhydrous sodium sulfate; and 6) reclaiming the solvent to obtain a yellowish oily material which is the 3,8-diol. In the method, the extraction rates and content of the eucalyptus citriodra volatile oil and the 3,8-diol are improved by combining fermentation technology and steam distillation, the content of the obtained 3,8-diol accounts for 80 percent of water soluble components and meets the 60 percent content requirement on mosquito-repelling products overseas, the 3,8-diol can be sold directly, and thus the comprehensive utilization value of eucalyptus citriodora is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a plant extraction method, in particular to a method for extracting lemon eucalyptus leaf volatile oil and 3,8-diol. Background technique [0002] lemon eucalyptus ( Eucalyptus citriodora ) is a myrtaceae plant, widely planted in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Yunnan, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangsu, Guizhou, Jiangxi and other regions. The essential oil (volatile oil) of lemon eucalyptus has a pleasant fragrance and is an important spice oil, which is widely used in the production of various spices, soaps, cosmetics and food. At present, the production of volatile oil of lemon eucalyptus at home and abroad adopts the traditional steam distillation process, and the volatile oil of lemon eucalyptus in the oil phase of the distillate is extracted as an essential oil product. However, volatile components that are carried over with water vapor and are soluble (or slightly soluble) in water have not received the attention the...
