Embodiment 1

[0032] Example 1 The micro-nanoparticle reinforced aluminum-based composite material is prepared by the following process:

[0033] Step 1, preparation of silicon carbide / copper oxide composite powder:

[0034] a, respectively configure the copper sulfate solution A of 0.34mol / L and the sodium hydroxide solution B of 20mol / L;

[0035] b. Add the silicon carbide powder with a particle size of 50um to the molar ratio of 1:1 to the solution A and stir to obtain a mixed suspension of C. The stirring time is 15min;

[0036] c. Mix B solution and C suspension to obtain D solution, stir at 20°C at a stirring speed of 100rpm for 30min; d, vacuum filter the product in D solution, bake at 150°C for 6h, and grind. Obtained composite powder, its morphology and structure are as follows Figure 2a , 2b shown;

[0037] Step two, see figure 1 , using the method of stirring casting combined with in-situ reaction to prepare micro-nanoparticle-reinforced aluminum matrix composites:

Embodiment 2

[0042] The difference between this example and Example 1 is that the reaction temperature when solution B is added to solution C is 30°C. see Figure 3a , under the same conditions, the coating effect at a temperature of 30°C is not as good as that at a temperature of 20°C.

Embodiment 3

[0044]The difference between this example and Example 1 lies in that the reaction temperature when solution B is added to solution C is 40°C. see Figure 3b , it can be seen that the coating effect at a temperature of 40°C is not as good as that at a temperature of 20°C and 30°C.

Abstract

The invention relates to a micro-nano particle reinforced aluminum-based composite material and a preparation method thereof. The aluminum-based composite material takes aluminum or an aluminum alloy as a substrate material; micron-scale silicon carbide particles and nano alumina particles are uniformly dispersed in the substrate material; and the nano alumina particles are generated by undergoing a thermit reaction on nano copper oxide particles and a substrate alloy on the surfaces of the silicon carbide particles, so that a micron silicon carbide/nano alumina reinforced aluminum-based composite material is formed. The preparation method of the aluminum-based composite material comprises the following steps of: undergoing a reaction on micron-scale silicon carbide powder and soluble copper salt in an alkaline solution; filtering, baking and grinding to obtain silicon carbide/copper oxide composite powder; and undergoing a thermit reaction on the composite powder and an aluminum melt, and casting and molding to obtain a target product. By adopting the method, composite reinforcement of the substrate is realized by particles of multiple scales and multiple types, the obtained aluminum-based composite material has the advantages of high intensity, high wear resistance and the like, the bending resistance and Brinell hardness of the aluminum-based composite material are increased by over 50 percent and 73 percent compared with those of the conventional aluminum alloy respectively, and the friction coefficient is lowered by over 25 percent.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an aluminum-based composite material and a preparation process thereof, in particular to an aluminum-based composite material with silicon carbide powder coated with copper oxide nanoparticles on the surface as a reinforcing phase and a preparation method thereof. Background technique [0002] Due to its high hardness, high modulus and dimensional stability, ceramic particles have been widely used as a reinforcing phase in metal matrix and resin matrix composite materials in material design, and a single ceramic powder or A single metal powder has achieved industrial production in recent years, and its particle size has also developed from micron to nanoscale. However, the wettability between ceramic particles and the added matrix material system is poor, which seriously restricts the ceramic powder. application of materials. Particle-reinforced aluminum matrix composites have the advantages of both aluminum alloy and reinforc...
