The invention provides a formula of a culture medium for culturing tobacco anther. The formula comprises the following components in part by weight: 2,800 to 32,000 parts of sucrose, 6,000 to 8,000 parts of agar, 680 to 760 parts of NH4NO3, 880 to 920 parts of KNO3, 130 to 190 parts of CaCl2.2H2O, 150 to 210 parts of MgSO4.7H2O, 60 to 80 parts of NaH2PO4, 50 to 70 parts of Na2-ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA), 40 to 50 parts of FeSO4.7H2O, 20 to 30 parts of MnSO4.4H2O, 15 to 25 parts of ZnSO4.7H2O, 15 to 25 parts of H3BO4, 0.3 to 0.7 part of thiaminechloride, 0.3 to 0.7 part of niacin, 0.3 to 0.7 part of pyridoxinehydrochloride, 90 to 110 parts of inositol and 1 to 3 parts of glycine.
