The nanocellulose aqueous dispersion was precipitated with 300ml of ethanol, and washed successively with 200ml of acetone and 40ml of ether to obtain 112g of white cationic nanocellulose. The conversion rate of 2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride is up to 90% as detected by elemental analysis.

The conversion rate of 2,3-epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride was 91% as detected by elemental analysis.

The nanocellulose aqueous dispersion was precipitated with 300ml of ethanol, and washed successively with 200ml of acetone and 40ml of ether to obtain 104g of white cationic nanocellulose. The conversion rate of 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride detected by elemental analysis was 81%.
