Abstract

The invention discloses preparation of isononyl isononanoate and application of isononyl isononanoate in cosmetic. Isononyl isononanoate is synthesized from isononyl acid and isononyl alcohol as main raw materials with paratoluenesulfonic acid (or amidosulfonic acid or sodium hydrogen sulfate) as a catalyst by an esterification reaction method. The isononyl isononanoate compound is prepared by neutralizing reaction products with NaHCO3 saturated solution (or sodium carbonate solution), washing with water, distilling the organic layer under reduced pressure, and collecting corresponding distillate. The obtained compound is light synthetic oil; when the compound is used for skin, the compound is not oily and has good spreading property; and by using the compound, the defect that natural oil is too oily is overcome and the shortcoming that mineral oil has poor air permeability. Therefore, the compound is ideal oil for cosmetic.
