Abstract

The invention discloses a method for advanced treatment of high-concentration chemi-mechanical pulp effluent by catalytic oxidation. For the chemi-mechanical pulp effluent, the method includes: firstly, treating the effluent by sedimentation, anaerobic process and aerobic process to remove most of organic pollutants in the effluent; secondly, using aluminum sulfate solution to coagulate the effluent; thirdly, using strong acid to further reduce pH value of the effluent; fourthly, adding reducing agent, namely ferrous sulfate, and mixing well; and fifthly, adding oxidant, namely hydrogen peroxide, and performing aeration to allow for air assisted catalytic oxidation so as to effectively decompose residual organic pollutants in the effluent.
