Abstract

The invention discloses a suspending agent for water-based zirconium oxide coating for investment titanium casting, a preparation method and application of the suspending agent, and belongs to the field of manufacturing of high-precision shells during titanium alloy investment casting. According to a formula, the suspending agent consists of the following components in percentage by mass: 0.7 to 1.4 percent of sodium carboxymethylcellulose, 0.1 to 0.3 percent of anionic polyacrylamide, 0.2 to 0.6 percent of nano sodium bentonite and the balance of distilled water. The water-based coating which is high in suspending performance and uniform in coating and is used for a titanium alloy investment cast shell can be prepared; the suspending rate of the obtained coating is up to 95 percent and is improved by 20 percent as compared with the suspending rate of the coating without the suspending agent; furthermore, the adding amount of the suspending agent is very small, so the suspending agent is in limited contact with titanium liquid during casting and a formed titanium alloy cast pollution layer is relatively thin.
