Abstract

The invention relates to a CO2 trapping agent and a preparation method thereof. Chemical formula of the CO2 trapping agent is represented by formula (I). The preparation method comprises following steps: (1) 1-cyanoethyl imidazole and 2-chloroethyl methyl ether are subjected to electrophilic addition so as to prepare an intermediate product 1-cyanoethyl-3-ethyl methyl ether imidazole chloride; (2) anion exchange resin is used to transform 1-cyanoethyl-3-ethyl methyl ether imidazole chloride into hydroxide 1-cyanoethyl-3-ethyl methyl ether imidazole; and (3) hydroxide 1-cyanoethyl-3-ethyl methyl ether imidazole and tricyano methanoic acid are subjected to neutralization reaction so as to obtain the CO2 trapping agent. Advantages of the CO2 trapping agent are that: trapping capacity is high, trapping speed is high, absorption enthalpy is low, and the CO2 trapping agent can be used for trapping CO2 in the air.
