In the process, the dehydrated nitrocotton is used as a main material to which is acetone and ethanol solution are added; the titanium dioxide is used as a packing material; the stabilizer, the pigment powder and the glacial acetic acid with camphor powder added are used as a plasticizer and a toughening agent; the celluloid sheet material for pingpong balls is prepared by the processes of heating and kneading, filtering and discharging, rubber mixing and calendering, hot pressing, flaking, drying and flatting. According to the invention, by adopting the titanium dioxide as the pakcing material, the celluloid sheet has the effects of high elongation, reinforcement and aging resistance as well as the advantages of sunlight resistance, no cracking, no color change and the like; the service life of the celluloid product can be prolonged while the toughness and strength of celluloid are improved; and moreover, the added stabilizer improves the stability of the pigment, and the added glacial acetic acid can enhance the stability and reduce the inflammability of the product.
