Abstract

The invention discloses a method for catalyzing the deep desulfurization of high sulfur petroleum coke by using alkali carbonate, and belongs to the technical field of petroleum coking and clean energy thereof. According to the desulfurization method of petroleum coke, the high sulfur petroleum coke with sulfur content as high as more than 8% is desulfurized to contain sulfur less than 0.1%, the desulfurization rate can reach more than 99%, and the yield of the petroleum coke is more than 75%. The desulfurization method of the petroleum coke comprises the following steps of: grinding and screening the petroleum coke till the granularity is 0-150 micrometers, and carrying out uniform dry mixing on the petroleum coke and the alkali carbonate with the petroleum coke and powder at the weight ratio of 5%-12%; then placing a mixed material into a crucible, burying the upper surface of a material layer by using the raw material petroleum coke, keeping temperature of 850-1100 DEG C for 1-3 hours, taking out and placing into a drying box to cool to normal temperature so as to obtain the petroleum coke with very low sulfur content. The deep desulfurization method of the high sulfur petroleum coke, which is disclosed by the invention, has the advantages of high desulfurization rate, simple process, relatively low cost and easiness for industrialized production.
