Abstract

A herbicide composition containing l-alpha-terpineol is disclosed. The composition comprises a synergist a and a herbicide active component b, wherein the synergist is the l-alpha-terpineol, and the herbicide active component is one of 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid, ametryn and diuron or is a mixture prepared from more than one of the 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid, the ametryn and the diuron. The composition reduces the using amount of herbicides in unit area and improves weeding effects of herbicides for sugarcane fields and safety to sugarcane, thus reducing the herbicide using cost. The composition can be prepared into wettable powder, water dispersible granules, emulsifiable solutions or dispersible oil suspensions, and can be used for control of annual weeds in sugarcane fields.
