Abstract

The invention relates to the field of cosmetics, and in particular to a cosmetic whitening emulsion and a preparation method thereof. The cosmetic whitening emulsion consists of the following components in percentage by mass: 0.0015-0.2% of a Licorice root extract, 0.1-10% of nicotinamide, 0.1-5% of an extract of peony root and bark, 0.1-10% of an extract of rhizome of roof iris, and 60-80% of substrate ingredients which are common in other cosmetic emulsions. According to the cosmetic whitening emulsion provided by the invention, a plurality of natural plant extracts and natural flower extracts, which serve as major active ingredients, can develop a synergistic effect, so as to inhibit melanogenesis and to scavenge free radicals; therefore, an effect of whitening skin can be achieved.
