Problems solved by technology

[0004] Geopolymers have many of the above advantages, which have attracted extensive attention from researchers at home and abroad. However, the research on geopolymers in China started relatively late. Although the research on geopolymer materials has been gradually carried out, the existing preparation methods are relatively complicated.

[0045] In the present invention, the metakaolin is preferably d...

Embodiment 1

[0057] Weigh 10g of metakaolin powder 1 and mechanically grind it through a 120-mesh sieve. The sieved powder is dried at 65°C for 24h to constant weight. After analysis, kaolin powder 1 includes: 4gSiO 2 , 3.5gAl 2 o 3 , 0.10gFe 2 o 3 , 0.01gCaO and 0.01gMgO.

[0058] Weigh 21.2gNa 2 SiO 3 Dissolve in 250mL water to obtain Activator 1; weigh 0.4g NaOH and dissolve in 100mL water to obtain Activator 2.

[0059] Take 10g of dried metakaolin with constant weight, add 50mL of activator 1 and 50mL of activator 2, stir mechanically for 20min, place it at room temperature for 24h, and wash the whole piece of geopolymer with distilled water.

[0060] Finally, the solid obtained in the above steps was dried in a vacuum oven at 100° C. for 2 hours to obtain a geopolymer.

[0061] The simple and rapid preparation of geopolymer adsorbent by the above method was verified by adsorption experiments, and the geopolymer heavy metal adsorbent was added to Cd 2+ Adsorption is carried o...

Embodiment 2

[0070] Weigh 10g of metakaolin powder 1 and mechanically grind it through a 120-mesh sieve. The sieved powder is dried at 65°C for 24h to constant weight. Abstract

The invention provides a geopolymer, and a preparation method and application thereof. The geopolymer is produced by reacting metakaolin with an activator; the metakaolin comprises the following components in parts by weight: 40 to 45 parts of SiO2, 35 to 45 parts of Al2O3, 1 to 2 parts of Fe2O3, 0.1 to 0.5 part of CaO, and 0.1 to 0.5 part of MgO; the activator is selected from a mixed solution ofa sodium silicate solution and a strong alkali compound solution; and the mass ratio of metakaolin to the sodium silicate solution to the strong alkali compound solution is 10 to 1.69 -4.24 to 0.16-0.2. According to the synergistic effect of the components above, the produced geopolymer has the relatively high adsorption capacity, and has the excellent removal effect on cadmium ions as a heavy metal adsorbent, wherein the removal rate of the cadmium ions can be up to 96% or above.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of heavy metal adsorbents, in particular to a geopolymer, its preparation method and its application in the adsorption of heavy metal ions. Background technique [0002] Geopolymer was first proposed by Professor Joseph Davidovits of France in his US patent in 1985. It refers to a three-dimensional aluminosilicate polymer formed by the excitation of silicon-aluminum inorganic minerals by alkali. A new type of inorganic silica-alumina gel material with a three-dimensional network bonded structure. Because geopolymers have a three-dimensional network-like bonding structure in space, geopolymers have higher high-temperature performance and mechanical properties than metals, polymer materials, cement and ceramics. On the other hand, geopolymers do not require high-temperature calcination or sintering, and the preparation process is environmentally friendly and can be recycled and reused. It is a sustainable "gr...
