The invention discloses an application of an osrodendranthus spicatus(Thunb.)C.Y.Wu leaf extract in preparation of drugs for treating renal injury. Tests confirm that OS has a regulating effect on mice chronic renal injury induced by high fat diet; different doses of OS can reduce mice renal injury induced by high fat diet to different degrees; the effect of the OS with high dose (500 mg / kg) is the most obvious, and the effect is closely related to a fact that the OS can well reduce high blood fat and oxidative stress levels in the mice with high fat diet. Therefore, the srodendranthus spicatus(Thunb.)C.Y.Wu leaf extract has wide application in preparation of the drugs for treating renal injury.
