Abstract

The preparation method comprises the following steps: performing surface heat treatment on a radome made of common E glass fiber plain weave fabrics; removing an impregnating agent on surfaces of the fabrics and then soaking with polytetrafluoroethylene; drying, cold-pressing andsintering; then, coating epoxy resin on two sides for curing and binding to obtain an E glass fiber radome with a surface film layer. The polytetrafluoroethylene has characteristics of high and temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, ablation resistance and dielectric properties superior to various other matrix materials, is matched with epoxy resin highly matched with the polytetrafluoroethylene as a binder, also has excellent dielectric properties, and enhances wave permeability of the radome; the surface film-containing radome for protecting the radar receiver prepared in the invention does not hinder permeability of electromagnetic waves, improves mechanical properties and chemical resistance of the glass fiber radome, and has good molding process.
