According to the artificial breeding method provided by the invention, nutrient enrichment is performed on parents of the diodon hystrix, and process conditions including temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH value, oxygenation power, ammonia nitrogen and nitrite-nitrogen cooperate harmoniously, gonads of the parents can develop and mature under artificial breeding conditions; and through artificial induced spawning and hatching, a large number of fertilized ova are obtained and are artificially hatched. By employing the artificialbreeding method, the spawning rate of the parent fishes is high, the fertilization rate and the hatching rate of the fertilized ova are high; and the vigor of newly-hatched fish larvae is good, and the needs of large-scale breeding of diodon hystrix fingerlings can be met.
