Problems solved by technology

However, the free optical link cannot be transmitted through the cloud layer, so when laser communication is applied to satellite-ground communication, the network transmission efficiency will be greatly reduced
Therefore, laser communication cannot meet the global scope, all-weather and all-time rapid response of future satellite-to-ground communication and the space-time continuous communication support of space information.

Abstract

The invention discloses a hybrid link architecture method based on millimeter wave communication and free light communication. In the downlink direction of the photon-assisted millimeter wave link, the optical carrier provided by one single-mode laser I is modulated by downlink data through one optical modulator I and then coupled with the optical carrier provided by the other single-mode laser IIthrough one optical coupler I, the modulated optical carrier and the unmodulated optical carrier which are coupled together are subjected to heterodyne beat frequency by a single-ended photodiode togenerate a wireless millimeter wave signal carrying downlink data; and the generated wireless millimeter wave signal carrying the downlink data is amplified by a millimeter wave amplifier I and then sent to a free space through a sending end antenna I for transmission. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that the links are freely switched, wireless millimeter wave communication and free space coherent light laser communication are compatible, and all-weather communication is achieved.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the technical fields of radio-over-fiber (Radio-over-Fiber, abbreviated as RoF) communication system and free space laser communication system, and specifically refers to a hybrid link architecture method based on millimeter wave communication and free optical communication. Background technique [0002] With the advent of the cloud era, big data (Big data) has also attracted more and more attention. "Big data" in the Internet industry refers to such a phenomenon: Internet companies generate and accumulate user network behavior data in their daily operations. The scale of these data is so large that it cannot be measured in G or T. As of 2012, the amount of data has jumped from TB (1024GB=1TB) level to PB (1024TB=1PB), EB (1024PB=1EB) and even ZB (1024EB=1ZB) level. According to IBM research, 90% of all the data acquired by the entire human civilization has been generated in the past two years. By 2020, the scale of ...
