The alkaline solution hydrogen evolution electrocatalyst NiVRu ternary alloy obtained through the preparation method serves as an electrode material, has good alkalinehydrogen evolution performance and low precious metal ruthenium content, the ruthenium content can be as low as 1%, and meanwhile the alkaline solution hydrogen evolution electrocatalyst NiVRu ternary alloy shows excellent electrochemical stability and shows good alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen evolution catalytic performance.
