Embodiment 1

[0192] Example 1: Selection of oil to be combined with phenyl silicone oil

[0193] 1.1 Properties of binary mixtures

[0194] Applicants have evaluated the ability of a phenyl silicone oil (Belsil PDM1000) to mix or not mix with various compounds and hydrocarbon oils or silicone oils.

[0195] For binary mixtures of immiscible oils, a separation effect as several layers (also referred to as "stratification") may be observed. For this purpose, a mixture of two compounds or oils (BELSIL PDM1000 + Oil X) was heated to 80° C. for 15 minutes with stirring. Package the mixture in a clear glass bottle. The mixture was observed at time T0, then after a 24 hour rest period:

[0196] The results are given in Table 1 below:

Embodiment 2

[0217] Example 2: Selection of film formers

[0218] Applicants tested several film formers (resins or polymers) to identify those that could form uniform colored films while maintaining the delamination phenomena associated with the presence of immiscible oils. A "homogeneous film" refers to a film that spreads evenly on the lips and provides a smooth finish of uniform color without any surface or color irregularities.

[0219] 2.1 Ability to form a uniform film

[0220] Another test formulation comprising the film former selected in Example 1 and the binary mixture was prepared according to Table 4 below.

[0223] Test formulations are applied to lips. After application of the formulations to the lips, the uniformity of the films was evaluated (Table 5).

Embodiment 3

[0240] Example 3: Selection of long-lasting polymers

[0241] Following Examples 1 and 2 above, it was sought to improve the longevity of the coloured films obtained with the compositions of the invention, while maintaining the gloss effect associated with the delamination phenomenon identified above.

[0242] Compositions containing film formers and oils selected in the preceding examples were prepared according to Table 8:

[0245] The pigment is ground in the presence of octyldodecanol. The pigment phase was heated to 95°C.

[0246] Separately, dextrin isostearate was dispersed in octyldodecanol in a Rayneri mixer at 95°C. After homogenization, phenyl silicone oil was added.

[0247] The two previously prepared phases were mixed an...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, an oily phase and at least a) a phenyl silicone oil of formula (I) [Chemical Formula 1] (I) wherein-Me is methyl, Ph is phenyl, oR'represents a-OSiMe3 group,-y ranges from 1 to 1000, and-z ranges from 1 to 1000, b) a C8-C30 fatty alcohol, c) a branched dextrin ester, and d) advantageously a fat-soluble polymer selected from the group consisting of (i) acrylate polymers selected from the group consisting of silicon acrylate polymers, acrylate polymers comprising an alkyl chain of at least 10 carbon atoms, and copolymers of acrylates and acrylamides, the present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising (i) a copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone (VP) and an olefin having at least 18 carbon atoms, (ii) a copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone (VP) and an olefin having at least 18 carbon atoms, and (iii) mixtures thereof, and the use thereof for improving gloss and a more lasting cosmetic result of gloss and colour, in particular for lips. Preferably, the composition is in a semi-solid or solid form.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of cosmetics, in particular to a cosmetic composition with gloss and long-lasting gloss properties. Background technique [0002] Cosmetic products for lips are known in the prior art in liquid, semi-liquid or solid (stick) form, which have the property of color lasting. Furthermore, gloss cosmetic products for lips are also known, but it is difficult to combine gloss properties and gloss lasting properties, even more difficult to combine in one and the same composition. [0003] "Two-step" lip makeup products are well known in which a first composition is applied to provide color and a second composition is applied to apply a glossy film. However, there is still a need to develop simple and quicker compositions that are applied in a single step that allow to impart improved gloss properties and long lasting color and gloss properties while maintaining comfort. [0004] Applicants have precisely demonstrated...
