57 results about "Biodegradable waste" patented technology

Biodegradable waste includes any organic matter in waste which can be broken down into carbon dioxide, water, methane or simple organic molecules by micro-organisms and other living things by composting, aerobic digestion, anaerobic digestion or similar processes. In waste management, it also includes some inorganic materials which can be decomposed by bacteria. Such materials include gypsum and its products such as plasterboard and other simple organic sulfates which can decompose to yield hydrogen sulphide in anaerobic land-fill conditions.

Fast treating device of biodegradable garbage

The invention provides a fast treating device of biodegradable garbage, which mainly comprises a double-layer horizontal type cylinder body, a stirring device, a heating device, a ventilating device, a condensate water-collecting device, a condensate water-recharging device and a biological filtering and deodorizing device, wherein the double-layer horizontal type cylinder body is used for loading garbage; the stirring device is provided with a stirring shaft with a blade, and the stirring shaft is penetrated through the whole cylinder body; the heating device is used for heating up the garbage, leading the temperature of the garbage to be fast raised, and keeping the temperature within a certain range; the ventilating device is used for supplying the oxygen required by the biodegradation of the garbage and carrying out some steam (or steam); the condensate water-collecting device and the condensate water-recharging device are used for removing the generated steam and recharging and replenishing water under the condition that the garbage in the cylinder body is dried; and the biological filtering and deodorizing device is used for removing bad smell generated when biodegrading the garbage. The cylinder body is internally provided with a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor and an oxygen sensor, wherein the sensors are controlled by a garbage automatic control device; and the control device controls the heating device, the ventilating device and a percolate-recharging device according to the detecting values of the sensors. The fast treating device does not need to add strains, can not generate percolate, has fast fermentation speed, generates less bad smell, has no pollution emission, and has high automated operation degree.

Methods and systems for biodegradable waste flow treatment using a transport fluid nozzle

The present invention is directed to methods and systems for pre-treating sewage sludge in a sewage treatment works (STW) to facilitate anaerobic digestion. These methods include (a) passing sewage sludge through one or more pre-treatment devices, wherein each pre-treatment device comprises (i) a passage of substantially constant diameter having an inlet in fluid communication with the STW and an outlet; and (ii) a transport fluid nozzle communicating with the passage and adapted to inject high velocity transport fluid into the passage; (b) passing the sewage sludge treated in step (a) to an anaerobic digester; and (c) collecting methane produced in step (b). Other methods are also provided for pre-treating a bio-degradable waste flow. Such methods include (a) passing bio-degradable waste flow through one or more pre-treatment devices, wherein each pre-treatment device comprises (i) a passage of substantially constant diameter having an inlet in fluid communication with the bio-degradable waste flow and an outlet; and (ii) a transport fluid nozzle communicating with the passage and adapted to inject high velocity transport fluid into the passage; (b) dewatering the bio-degradable waste flow from step (a); and (c) optionally compacting the material resulting from step (b).

"Transformer" aerobic digestion method, a system for treating biodegradable waste material through aerobic degradation

This method facilitates the cost effective treatment of liquid, hazardous, and solid waste in a landfill or composting site or any other containment facility. The ability to distribute the oxygen to the waste, facilitate aerobic degradation, and remove the spent waste are the focal points of the process. This invention can digest any size landfill or treat any size green waste pile. Waste moisture content is increased, eliminating fires and the aerobic degradation halts the production of harmful greenhouse gases and odors. Liquid is oxygen-supplemented and added to the waste to maintain aerobic degradation. Temperature increases with the availability of the dissolved and released oxygen. The bacteria break down the solids and liquid waste. The digested material is available for release, cover or agricultural uses. Facility space is recovered, odors are minimized, and environmental risk is minimized. Leachate to be discharged is isolated and treated to the needs of the facility, which can be anywhere between total treatment and pretreatment. The isolation and use of the landfill generated biological colony makes the current invention unique as a leachate and solids treatment system.
