The invention discloses a low-permeability sandstone reservoir pore structure quantitative inversion method based on nuclear magnetic resonance. The method comprises the following steps: I, selecting a basic sample; II, classifying the type of a pore structure; III, establishing a well logging chart for identifying the pore structure; IV, establishing a pore throat distribution inversion formula according to the type of the pore structure; V, verifying the accuracy of the formula; VI, identifying the type of the pore structure of a shaft section by utilizing the well logging chart; VII, quantitatively inverting the distribution of free fluid pore throats by utilizing a nuclear magnetic resonance well logging T2 spectrum. The method has the following beneficial effects: a reliable method and technology are provided for quantitatively evaluating the pore structure, and the research concept of the current method can be broken through. The continuous free fluid pore throat distribution can be inverted by virtue of the nuclear magnetic resonance well logging, so that direct evidence is provided for evaluating the effectiveness of the low-permeability sandstone reservoir, application of the well logging information in the quantitative inversion of the micro pore structure of the reservoir is favorably explored, and the application and development of the nuclear magnetic well logging technology can be promoted.

A method is given for creating a fracture, in a subterranean formation, that has a fluid flow barrier at the top, at the bottom, or at both the top and the bottom. The method is applied before or during a conventional hydraulic fracturing treatment and is used to limit undesired vertical growth of a fracture out of the productive zone. A lower-viscosity pad fluid is used to initiate the fracture; a higher-viscosity fluid containing barrier particles is then injected; a lower-viscosity particle-free fluid is then injected to promote settling (or rising) of the barrier particles and to finger through the slug of barrier particles and cut it into an upper and lower portion. If the barrier is to be at the bottom of the fracture, the barrier particles are denser than the fluids; if the barrier is to be at the top of the fracture, the barrier particles are less dense than the fluids. The method also includes transferring a gas into the vessel to occupy a space in the vessel and sealing the vessel via a cap on an end of the vessel. Methods of analyzing the core samples core samples collected from a reservoir and a rock and fluid sampling tool are also provided.

A solids removal system for use in removing sand and silt from well production fluids. The system has a manifold assembly provided with jetting nozzles, which is installed in a liquid and solids-containing vessel, where solids have settled in the walls. The jetting nozzles deliver, in a pre-determined sequence, a solids-dislodging fluid, causing the solids to become suspended in the fluid. The dislodged solids and fluid are then extracted by pump from the vessel and directed to a solid-fluid separator. Solids-free fluid is returned for re-re-circulation through the vessel, while the solids are moved to a containment location.
