Embodiment Construction

[0023] Fresh latex is a milky fluid obtained by puncturing rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis). It contains not only rubber particles (30-35 g%) but also other non-rubber particles in its suspension. An active compound in the aqueous latex slurry after rubber particle removal has been extracted and found to induce depigmentation of the skin.

[0024] method of extraction

[0025] Formic acid is added to coagulate the fresh latex. The latex slurry is collected from the rubber coagulation by pressing between the rollers. It was ultrafiltered and spray dried through a series of membranes including those with MWCO < 10 kD. Latex protease inhibitors were subsequently purified from the spray-dried powder by acetone fractionation.

[0027] In vivo depigmentation experiments by topical application of protease inhibitors derived from natural rubber latex on naturally dark-skinned pigs. ...

Abstract

The present invention provides a skin whitening element of the extract from natrual latex rubber, wherein natural latex rubber having protease inhibitor and bioactive peptide segment. The extract method comprises acid treatment and thermal treatment, hyperfiltration and solvent fractionating. The extract has already shown having inducing and removing mammal skin pigment effect.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a composition comprising an extract derived from natural rubber latex, wherein the latex contains protease inhibitors, and optionally additional skin depigmenting cosmetic actives. Background technique [0002] Different skin tones are simply due to differences in the concentration and distribution of melanin in the keratinocytes that make up the epidermis of most skin. The higher the melanin content, the darker the skin tone. Melanin is a mixture of pigments synthesized in melanosomes inside melanocytes located in the basement membrane of the epidermis. Melanosomes contain the enzyme tyrosinase necessary to convert the pigment precursor amino acid tyrosine into melanin. Melanosomes containing melanin are transferred to dendritic tips and translocate into keratinocytes, forming a cap for the keratinocyte nucleus. Mechanisms of melanosome transfer include release of melanosomes, keratinocyte-melanocyte membrane fusion...
