The plant myrobalan is mechanically crushed and added into an aqueous solution which has the pH value of 8-12 and is 5-20 times as much as the plant myrobalan, the pH value of the solution is regulated and then the solution is heated up to 95-100 DEG C, followed by heat preservation for 60-90 minutes and filtration; filtration residues are continued to be leached for 30-45 minutes by a diluted alkaline solution which has the pH value of 8-12 and is 5-10 times as much as the water, the leaching liquor is filtered and combined twice, and powdered solids are obtained by condensation, solidification and crush. The finishing agent is used for the preparation of protein polyamide fiber or textile having the function of removing formaldehyde, or the preparation of cellulose fiber or textile having the function of removing formaldehyde.
