Abstract

The motor controller comprises an intelligent data interface circuit, a signal detection circuit, a chip selection decoding circuit, a logic control circuit and 3 motor control channels, wherein information on width of control pulse, dead zone, the lengths of positive and negative pulses and the like of the motor is acquired by analyzing and calculating the data of a write-in interface circuit; input information required by a pulse width modulation circuit is generated by combining a frequency division factor given by a programmable frequency division circuit; and a pulse width modulation state machine circuit outputs digital signals required previously to a H bridge driver according to the information. Compared with an external microcomputer (or a controller), the H bridge driver-based motor controller can obviously lower operation time and hardware cost; a built-in high-resolution counter can provide extremely smooth and sensitive motor drive signals; and the H bridge driver-based motor controller can adapt to different external data widths by combining the intelligent data interface circuit, and the programmable frequency division circuit can provide wider modulation signal periods and widths.
