Abstract

The invention provides a processing method of long hemp, and relates to a method for processing the hemp fibers which are the materials separated from hemp stalk bark. The processed fibers can be blended with cotton, wool and cashmere fibers to produce fine and extra-large hemp / cotton and hemp / wool blended yarns. The method comprises the following technical steps of: mechanical opening and impurity removing, chemical degumming processing, mechanical dehydrating and degumming processing, secondary chemical degumming processing and post-degumming processing. The method is simple, and easy to carry out. Over 95% of pectin, lignin and waxiness in the fibers can be removed via the method. The processed fibers have soft handfeel and the separation degree over 3500Nm; and the fiber main body is 37 to 43mm in length, thus, the spinnability and the stainability of the fibers can be greatly improved. The processing method effectively increases the economic value of the long hemp; and moreover, the waste water produced in the production is easily purified; and some purified waste water can be recycled. The processed waste water has no pollution to the environment. The method is an ideal processing method of the long hemp.
