Abstract

The invention relates to a method for selectively determining benzene series in smoke intercepted by a cigarette filter through adopting static headspace-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. In order to selectively determine seven kinds of benzene series in smoke intercepted by the cigarette filter, a determining method of using static headspace-gas chromatograph and mass spectrometry to select ion quantification is adopted. According to the detecting method, the quantitative detection limit to the seven kinds of benzene series is 0.003-0.005 mug/cig, the standard recovery rate is 86.2-102.8, and the relative standard deviation is smaller than 5 percent. The detecting method has the advantages of simplicity in operation, quickness in determination and high accuracy and sensitivity, and provides a technical support for selecting filter materials and selectively reducing the release amount of the benzene series in cigarette smoke.
