The invention discloses a fountain solution which comprises the following components in parts by weight: 2-6 parts of fatty alcohol-polyoxyethylene ether, 1-5 parts of alkyl glucoside, 10-20 parts of Arabic gum, 8-10 parts of citric acid, 3-10 parts of sodium gluconate, 5-24 parts of sulfonated phthalein glucosamine, 9-10 parts of phosphoric acid, 1-8 parts of disodium hydrogen phosphate, 0.01-0.1 part of anticorrosive fungicide, 0.1-2 parts of defoaming agent, 1-5 parts of antioxidant and 10-15 parts of water. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the fountain solution. The preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing the fatty alcohol-polyoxyethylene ether, the alkyl glucoside, the Arabic gum, the citric acid, the sodium gluconate, the sulfonated phthalein glucosamine, the phosphoric acid, the disodium hydrogen phosphate, the anticorrosive fungicide, the defoaming agent, the antioxidant and the water according to certain proportion; dissolving solid raw materials into solution; diluting liquid with water; then respectively feeding the raw materials into a reaction kettle and stirring for 30-45 minutes to obtain the fountain solution.
