The invention provides a chemically synthesized alkyl naphthalene heat transfer fluid composition which is characterized in that the heat transfer fluid is composed of the following raw materials, by weight: 100.0 parts of alkyl naphthalene, 0.1-40.0 parts of hydrofined mineral oil, 3-10.0 parts of a detergent, 1.0-5.0 parts of a dispersing agent, 0.5-3.0 parts of an oxidation and corrosion inhibitor, 1.0-5.0 parts of a rust inhibitor, 1.0-10.0 parts of a coking inhibitor, 1.0-10.0 parts of a scale inhibitor, 0.5-3.0 parts of a metal deactivator, and 0.0001-0.01 part of a defoaming agent. The heat transfer fluid composition has a high initial boiling point and high high-temperature resistance. The heat transfer fluid composition meets the performance requirement of GB23971-2009 that the heat transfer fluid initial boiling point grades shall be 340, 350, 360, 370 and 380.
