Abstract

The invention provides crystals of cage-like Ru metal-organic complexes and a preparation method of the crystals and relates to metal complex crystals and a preparation method thereof. The two metal-organic complexes utilize RuCl2(PPh3)3 as a metal precursor and are prepared through actions with two different types of organic ligands, and the crystals of the two complexes are obtained with a diffusion culture method; the two novel metal-organic complexes with the cage-like structures and the crystal structures of the two novel metal-organic complexes are characterized through testing by an X-ray single-crystal diffractometer. Results indicate that the two crystals are clear in structure, adopt a unique coordination mode, and are greatly potential catalysts and potential antitumor drugs; the research for the catalytic action of the complexes shows that the complexes have the characteristics of mild reaction condition, simple post-processing, high catalytic activity and high selectivity in catalysis of an alcohol oxidation reaction; the two novel cage-like Ru metal-organic complexes (RuCl)4(PPh3)4 are applicable to the catalysis of an oxidation reaction.
