The vehicle window member with an attached window frame comprises: a vehicle-window-use transparent plate-shaped body; a thermoplastic resin window frame, disposed in a region that includes the peripheral edge section of at least one primary surface of the plate-shaped body, in a plate-shaped body end section region that comprises the peripheral edge section of both principal surfaces of the plate-shaped body and the side surface section of the plate-shaped body; a functional sol-gel layer, disposed so as to partially overlap the region of disposition of the window frame on one of the primary surfaces of the plate-shaped body on which the window frame is disposed and so that the overlapping portion is disposed between the window frame and the plate-shaped body; a primer layer, disposed in roughly the same region as the region of disposition of the window frame on the plate-shaped body side of the window frame so as to be adjacent to the window frame; and an overcoat layer which is disposed between the functional sol-gel layer and the primer layer so as to include at least the region where those layers overlap and which has an oxide of at least one element chosen from the group consisting of tin, titanium, zirconium, and zinc as a principal constituent.
