Abstract

The invention provides a geopolymeric material and a preparation method thereof. The geopolymeric material comprises diaspore, grenatite, slag, soaking solution, structure template, sodium hydroxide solution and synergistic activator. The preparation method comprises the steps of at first soaking the diaspore in the soaking solution, taking out and roasting the soaked diaspore, using the structure template for leaching out the roasted diaspore by the Bayer process to acquire modified alumina, at last adding the modified alumina, grenatite and slag into an alkaline solution mixed by the sodium hydroxide solution and the synergistic activator, stirring for reaction to acquire a resultant of reaction, namely, the geopolymeric material. The preparation method makes certain aluminium silicates in the diaspore to go through a thermal decomposition reaction, to generate an amorphous silica which is soluble in tertiary butyl prepolymer solution under certain temperature, thus the purpose of desilicication is achieved, and the use rate of the diaspore is enhanced.
