According to the invention, candida albicans is taken as a test object by the inventor so as to screen out a compound which is efficient, low in toxicity and can avoid easy generation of drug resistance, discovering that the wedelolactone can take an excellent inhibitory effect on adhesion, a mycelium formation rate, bio-film formation and pathogenicity of candida albicans. Moreover, the compound, which is relatively low in toxicity, can avoid influence to growth of human cells, and meanwhile,the compound can avoid influence to normal growth of the candida albicans, showing that the compound, instead of killing the candida albicans, can take effects on the candida albicans strains by inhibiting the adhesion, mycelium formation, bio-film formation and pathogenicity of the candida albicans, therefore, drug resistance can be prevented from causing easily. The wedelolactone has a good application prospect in the development of novel anti-fungal medicines, and in particular in the aspect of developing anti-candida albicans infection medicines.
