The method comprises the following steps: determining the total concentration of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide in a standard solution by taking ammonium molybdate as a catalyst and potassium iodide as an indicator; determining the concentration of peracetic acid in the standard solution by taking potassium iodide as the indicator; respectively fitting, thereby acquiring a standard curve and a linear regression equation of the total concentration of peracetic acid andhydrogen peroxide and the concentration of peracetic acid relative to respective absorbance values; calculating the total content of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide and the content of peracetic acid in a to-be-detected sample, by detecting the absorbance value of the to-be-detected sample after reacting under the same condition; and acquiring the content of hydrogen peroxide in the to-be-detected sample in the manner of minusing.
