The structural formula of the modified graphene-based iron complex is shown in I, a synthetic process of the modified graphene-based iron complex includes the following steps that (1) aminated graphene is synthesized by N-aminoethyl-gamma-propanyl trimethoxy silane modified graphene oxide; (2) the aminated graphene reacts with salicylaldehyde to synthesize a modified graphene-schiff-base ligand; and (3) the modified graphene-schiff-base ligand coordinates with a ferrous ion to synthesize the modified graphene-based iron complex. The synthesized modified graphene-based iron complex has significant catalytic effect on thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP), and can be used as a combustion catalyst in an AP-based composite propellant.
