Abstract

The invention discloses double-layer rare earth ion doped YAG ceramic and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the steps: mixing one or more of cerium oxide, gadolinium oxide, praseodymium oxide and chromic oxide with a mixture of aluminum oxide and yttrium oxide, and carrying out wet ball milling treatment, to obtain different mixed powder materials; respectively mixing the different mixed powder materials with a dispersing agent, an adhesive, a plasticizer and an organic solvent, and carrying out vibration ball milling to obtain different tape-casting slurry; respectively carrying out tape casting and drying on the different tape casting slurries to obtain different green bodies; laminating the two layers of different green bodies together for lamination treatment to obtain a double-layer YAG green body; and carrying out glue removal and sintering treatment on the double-layer YAG green body to obtain the double-layer rare earth ion doped YAG ceramic. The double-layer rare earth ion doped YAG ceramic prepared by the preparation method disclosed by the invention is variable in combination and more flexible in regulation and control of luminescence, and the color rendering index of the ceramic can be effectively improved.
