10 results about "Atypical mycobacterium" patented technology

Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), also known as environmental mycobacteria, atypical mycobacteria and mycobacteria other than tuberculosis (MOTT), are mycobacteria which do not cause tuberculosis or leprosy (also known as Hansen's disease).

Novel chi3l1 inhibitor and use thereof

A novel CHI3L1 inhibitor provided in the present invention can efficiently inhibit or treat disease progression of nontuberculous mycobacteria-infected lung diseases by inhibiting CHI3L1. In particular, it has been identified that K284-6111 can inhibit or treat disease progression of nontuberculous mycobacteria-infected lung diseases by inhibiting CHI3L1, and by newly synthesizing derivatives of K284-6111, novel compounds having a CHI3L1 inhibitory ability superior to that of K284-6111 have been identified. Therefore, the novel CHI3L1 inhibitors provided in the present invention can inhibit or treat disease progression of nontuberculous mycobacteria-infected lung diseases by inhibiting CHI3L1.

The chitinase 3-like 1 (CHI3L1) inhibitor, specifically kasugamycin, provided by the present invention, suppresses the expression or activation of chitinase 3-like 1 (CHI3L1), thereby effectively preventing or treating infections with acid-fast bacteria, particularly non-tuberculous mycobacteria and various diseases caused by infection with acid-fast bacteria, particularly nontuberculous mycobacteria. In addition, by measuring the expression level of chitinase 3-like 1 (CHI3L1) protein, when the expression level is higher than that of a control group, it is possible to effectively predict infection with acid-fast bacteria, particularly non-tuberculous mycobacteria, the onset of diseases caused by infection with acid-fast bacteria, particularly non-tuberculous mycobacteria, or the prognosis of diseases related to infection with acid fast bacteria, particularly nontuberculous mycobacteria.

Immunogenic composition comprising malonate semialdehyde decarboxylase (MSAD), and vaccine composition for preventing or treating nontuberculous mycobacteria infection, comprising same

The present invention relates to an immunogenic composition comprising a malonate semialdehyde decarboxylase (MSAD) protein or a polynucleotide encoding same, and a vaccine composition and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating nontuberculous mycobacteria infection, which comprise same. The vaccine composition and the pharmaceutical composition, which comprise the MSAD protein or the polynucleotide encoding same, of the present invention, have excellent preventive and therapeutic efficacy against nontuberculous mycobacteria infection. In addition, the vaccine composition and the pharmaceutical composition, which comprise the MSAD protein or the polynucleotide encoding same, of the present invention, have a greater effect of preventing and treating nontuberculous mycobacteria infection when administered intranasally, and have a greater effect of preventing and treating nontuberculous mycobacteria infection when used in combination with an immune adjuvant.

Application of TBA-7371 in prevention and treatment of nontuberculous mycobacterium infection

According to the invention, systematic MIC determination is carried out on fast-growing and slow-growing nontuberculous mycobacteria, and it is found that TBA-7371 has stable low MIC in nontuberculous mycobacteria of different pedigree, so that it is technically ensured that TBA-7371 can reach an effective inhibitory concentration in vivo more easily and has broad-spectrum applicability. The invention further explores the combined medication effect of the TBA-7371 and a plurality of first-line anti-mycobacterium tuberculosis drugs, and finds that when the TBA-7371 is combined with other anti-tuberculosis drugs, the required concentrations of the other anti-tuberculosis drugs can be reduced.

The present invention aims to provide a method for rapidly, simply, and reliably identifying patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease (pulmonary NTM disease) compared to lung cancer patients, healthy controls, or chronic airway inflammatory diseases other than pulmonary NTM disease, as well as a marker to be used in this method. [Solution] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a biomarker consisting of the SLC26A4 gene, the SLC26A4 protein, or the SLC26A4-AS1 gene for distinguishing between subjects with pulmonary NTM disease and lung cancer patients or healthy controls or chronic airway inflammatory diseases other than pulmonary NTM disease, a method of identification using the gene or protein, and a kit containing the gene.
